Carmen "Talegona", dancer

Carmen Talegona (Córdoba, 1976) comes from a renowned flamenco family and is today one of the most accomplished dancers of her generation. She has built up an extensive career as a soloist and guest artist with leading flamenco companies, working alongside figures such as Manolete, El Güito, Cristóbal Reyes, Antonio Canales, Rafael Amargo, Juan Andrés Maya and Blanca del Rey.

Throughout his career, he has taken part in numerous stage productions in Spain and abroad, including Pura Pasión, Princesas del Flamenco,Maya or Bailaoras, El Nuevo Tiempo, as well as in Sevilla a compás by Antonio Canales. At the same time, he has created his own shows such as Talegoneando, Gesto Flamenco, Oro Molido or Memoria, combining his artistic work with teaching.

Luis Mariano, guitar

Luis Mariano Renedo de Lucas (Granada) is a flamenco guitarist with an extensive career, recognized for his musicality, technical clarity, and ability to interact with singing and dancing through a deeply expressive guitar. He trained with Granada masters such as Pepe el Marino and Gazpacho, and began his professional career at the tablao Reina Mora. He has accompanied renowned artists including Mariquilla, Estrella Morente, Farruquito, and Diego el Cigala, Manuel Liñán and Juan Andrés Maya, and has performed on prestigious stages such as New York’s City Center, the Damascus Opera, and the National Theatre of Tehran. As a composer, he has created the music for productions such as Tauro and Mundo y aparte, by Manuel Liñán, or Fire and Sand, by Tatiana Garrido. He has been awarded at the Concurso Nacional de Guitarra de Jumilla.

Bienal Flamenco Madrid

The Bienal Flamenco Madrid, created in 2025 by the Madrid City Council under the artistic direction of bailaor and choreographer Ángel Rojas, was launched as a major institutional initiative to establish Madrid as the world capital of arte jondo. Its inaugural edition, held in May at venues such as Matadero, Teatros del Canal, Teatro Español, and the Paco Rabal and Pilar Miró centers, brought together prestigious artists including El Farru, Marco Flores, Eduardo Guerrero, Vanesa Coloma, and Sara Calero. The program was complemented with workshops, congresses, lectures, and masterclasses, positioning the Bienal as a new international reference in flamenco.

Access to the hall will open 30 minutes before the start of the show.

The Teatro Real is located in Plaza Isabel II s / n, in the heart of Madrid. The best way to access Teatro Real is by public transport, as sometimes traffic makes the access to Madrid city centre difficult, especially during Christmas.
