José Maya, dance

José Maya (Madrid, 1983) is one of the most unique and powerful bailaores in contemporary flamenco. Born into a Romani family with a rich artistic tradition, his illustrious ancestors include the bailaora Fernanda Romero, the cantaor Rafael Romero, El Gallina, the painter Antonio Maya, and the cantaor Gabriel Moreno. He began dancing at the age of nine, sharing the stage with Antonio Canales and Enrique Morente, and joined companies such as those of El Güito and Manolete. Awarded from a young age—including the Copa Pavón and the Certamen de Coreografía del Teatro Albéniz—he has worked with Tomatito, Vicente Amigo, Estrella Morente, Farruquito, and Arcángel. His visceral and deeply expressive style combines technique and tradition, and he has shone in productions such as Al natural, Latente, Maya or Liturgia, performed across Europe and the Americas; he is currently involved in the production Color sin nombre, inspired by the pictorial legacy of Mark Rothko.

Alejandra Hernández, dance

Alejandra Hernández (Madrid) is a bailaora known for her elegance, strength, and stage versatility. She began her training at the Los Cabales school and later at Amor de Dios. From a young age, she has been part of the casts of Madrid’s leading tablaos, including Casa Patas, Café de Chinitas, Las Carboneras, and El Corral de la Morería. She has performed at international festivals in Mexico, France, and the United States, and took part in the production En klave flamenca alongside Manuel Liñán and Alfonso Losa. In 2011, she moved to Paris, where she pursued her solo career and presented her production Tablao at La Sala Flamenco. Alejandra Hernández represents a generation of artists who take flamenco to new geographies without losing its authenticity.

El Almíbar (Córdoba)

El Almíbar, founded in 2010 in Córdoba by Luis Lucho Carrillo and a group of enthusiasts, was created to offer an intimate and welcoming space dedicated to preserving the essence of pure flamenco. Considered an oasis for cante, toque, and baile, it promotes respect, authenticity, and direct connection between artist and audience. Its programming revolves around Noches Íntimas, an annual cycle of recitals featuring established artists and emerging talents, alongside concerts and masterclasses in guitar in collaboration with the Paco Navarro School. With a vibrant and committed cultural activity, El Almíbar has established itself as one of the most unique flamenco references in the city.

Access to the hall will open 30 minutes before the start of the show.
